Saving & Viewing Acquired Data in the Data Log



To view trigger data in the Data Log:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

  2. If necessary, open a SignalTap® II File (.stp) or create a new STP File.

  3. If necessary, show the Data Log in the SignalTap II window.

  4. Turn on Data Log in the SignalTap II window.  Shortcut

  5. Run the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer.

  6. Click the + icon next to the Instance folder to expand it and view the Signal Set and Trigger folders.

 

To save trigger data from the last data acquisition in the Data Log:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

  2. If necessary, open a SignalTap II File (.stp) or create a new STP File.

  3. Run the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer.

  4. Click the Save to Data Log button.  Shortcut

 

To view waveforms from previous triggers in the Data Log:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

  2. If necessary, open a SignalTap II File (.stp) or create a new STP File.

  3. If necessary, show the Data Log in the SignalTap II window.

  4. Double-click an item in the Trigger folder. The waveform from the selected trigger is displayed in the SignalTap II Analyzer waveform display.

 

To delete an item in the Data Log:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

  2. If necessary, open a SignalTap II File (.stp) or create a new STP File.

  3. If necessary, show the Data Log in the SignalTap II window.

  4. Select the item in the Data Log.

  5. Choose Delete (Edit menu).
